How am I doing?

The real power of the V2R "No Excuses" Strategy Execution process is the ability to achieve associate centric accountability for disparate goals assigned to achieve the organization's strategic plan.

Project Management software does an excellent job managing every aspect of a project from a project centric perspective. Granted, project management software can summarize an associate's assigned project tasks, but this functionality is limited to similar projects that are managed in a similar fashion with the same Project Management software.

Executing an organization's strategy goes far beyond managing similar projects. Strategy Execution consists of driving metric performance measures along with a host of Project, Job Description, Assignment and Behavioral goals. Achieving associate level accountability requires each associate to know the relative priorities (weight) of all goals they are responsible for and their aggregate score on how well they are performing.

The following views are used in V2R to show each associate, from their perspective, what is expected and how they are doing:

Goal Card
The Associate Goal Card is the home page in the V2R application. All goals from the company's strategy to department tactics to individual associate assigned goals are aligned by category and summarized on the Associate Goal Card. All goals that are summarized on any Goal Card can be analyzed in detail by simply selecting the specific goal's name.

Because V2R is a web based application, local or remote associates can surf around the company to develop a better understanding of how their assigned goals relate to others. This is an excellent training tool for newly hired associates to learn how the company functions and establish a basis for assigning their own goals.

The Associate Goal Card also provides the boss and their staff associates an ongoing scorecard that calculates each associate's GPA (Grade Point Average) based on the previously assigned goal weights and their ongoing performance ratings. Knowing the score enables the boss and their staff associates to identify continuous improvement opportunities and assign corrective action goals closing the accountability loop.

Goal Table
The Goal Table screen summarizes an associate's goals in table format. This screen is good for viewing common fields across all assigned associate goals. Adjusting multiple goal's Assessment Dates, Assessment Frequency, Importance Factors and Goal Weights can be easily done from this screen. There is also a link to view the detail information available for all goals that are viewable on this screen.

Milestone Table
The Milestone Table screen summarizes all milestones assigned to an associate's goals. This screen is good for viewing common fields across all goal milestones. Milestones with no due dates are shown first followed by open milestones with the earliest (most past due) due dates.

In addition to various milestone selection options, multiple milestone Due Dates, Reminder Days, Email Notifications, Completion, Ratings and Importance Factors can be changed on multiple milestones from all goals. There are also links to view the detail information available for each milestone or the goal the milestone is assigned to.
